Château de Marsalès, Monpazier, France - Emma and Mark

A FAB WEDDING IN MONPAZIER SOUTH OF FRANCE

When Emma and Mark first got in touch with me about their wedding in South of France wedding in Château de Marsalès, Monpazier, I was so excited – they were planning the most relaxed and romantic wedding with a religious ceremony, a live band as many beers as you like. Emma and Mark seemed like the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding! The excitement before the weddingI turned up at Château de Marsalès, where the couple was getting ready, and it was so chilled out because everyone was in a good mood. Emma wore Maison Edith Bréhat and Mark wore a Devred suit and they looked so incredible. They had their first look right beside the House under beautiful trees. The ceremonyThe wedding took place at Église Saint Dominique in Monpazier, and was both joyous and moving. They had simple and classy decoration and flowers, which suited the magnificent church dating from the middle ages. After the ceremony, a family friend from Brittany played traditional music as the couple left the church, and then everybody gathered in the main square to welcome the newlyweds. The receptionThe wedding reception took place at Château de Marsalès, which is a short distance from Monpazier. The Château, built in the 15thcentury, was recently restored and sits on a property of 80 hectares which includes a stud farm for pure Arabian horses.

It was a slightly overcast day, which added to the atmosphere of the venue and resulted in great light for photos and videos. While the guests discovered the interior of the château, they tasted local specialities such as foie gras, duck and sweet white wine. My favourite photo from the day is the shot of the couple in the courtyard of the property after the first look ...)During the reception, the couple were spoiled with touching and funny speeches, songs, and even surprise Irish and Breton music which was learned especially for the day from Emma’s father, his friend and brothers. After dinner, it was on to the dancefloor where Emma and Mark opened the ball, and then Phil Good entertained in Style with a mixture of soul, funk and rock. The coupleEmma and Mark met when they were 16 years old during a school exchange, and they never forgot each other and get back together 8 years ago They say if you’re planning a wedding, take your time, make sure the people you love are present and involved, and enjoy it!  YOUR KIND WORDS"We don’t have enough words to thank you, Johnny!  The photos of our wedding are far more beautiful than anything we could have imagined in our wildest dreams! Thank you for your dedication, your good humour, your smile and the ease with which you adapted with our families. You made the most beautiful day of our lives, even more sublime! You captured the moments, the emotions, the atmosphere of the venue and you were able to show who we really are! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for being more than a photographer! Love! Emma & Mark"  Here’s their supplier's wedding!VENDORSVenue: Château de MarsalèsDress: Edith BrehatShoes: JonakSuit: DevredFlowers: A l’EglantierCatering: Philippe TardieuxBand: Phil GoodDecor: Homemade Makeup: Claire BranniganHair: Nathalie MouneydiereVideo: Julien Granier
